We have a true passion for flow.

“Life is a meaningful flow of Qi.” Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit

Learning to generate a flow of energy within your body and to restore your ability to harmonize internal and external energy flows is the key to achieving a healthy manifestation of energy physically, emotionally and mentally. Using the process to dredge your inner mental blockages and release them is the key to gaining control of your mind and spirit and relinquishing the mentality of lack that prevents you from experiencing true joy and passion for life. Our Instructors excel at helping you clear out the ideas that hold you back, realize your inner strengths and energy movement and achieve an easier, more flowing and more relaxed way of living to bring you balance, harmony and purpose.

Our Grandmaster, Sifu Wong Kiew Kit, learned from four sifus, or teachers. Grandmaster Wong's first sifu was Sifu Lai Chin Wah, more widely known by his honorable nick-name as Uncle Righteousness. His second sifu was Sifu Chee Kim Thong, regarded as the living treasure of the People's Republic of China during his time. Grandmaster Wong's third sifu was Sifu Ho Fatt Nam, the third generation successor from the southern Shaolin Temple at Quanzhou. His fourth sifu was Sifu Choe Hoong Choy, the patriarch of Choe Family Wing Choon.

It was no co-incidence that all Grandmaster Wong's sifus were patriarchs of their respective styles because Grrandmaster Wong sought for the best available teachers. Our school, Wahnam, is named after Sifu Lai Chin Wah and Sifu Ho Fatt Nam as much of our instructional material came from them.

Sifu Christina Didyk

Christina was lucky to get a chance to change everything when she learned from Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit for the first time…

“I randomly attended a Chi Kung seminar in Jacksonville Florida in 2006.  Completely unaware that my course in life was about to take a dramatic turn in the most amazing direction.

Quite frankly I gave up on my belief that the classical descriptions of Chi Kung and Kung Fu benefits like Internal Force, the energy needed to make a small woman as powerful as a large man, really existed in a way I could learn and train here in the West,  Even the arts I found in China paled in comparison to what I thought surely must be possible.

So paying over 600 dollars for a seminar in Jacksonville of all places was a sideways step I took on pure intuitive feeling.  Thank the cosmos I did!

Now my Cosmos Chi Kung practice gives me tremendous energy, a striking realization of mental calm and clarity and the ability to truly listen when my Spirit speaks. I now enjoy a deep sense of internal peace that makes life a truly dazzling and fulfilling stroll through the park, rather than a stress filled race to the finish.  I am better at every single thing I do thanks to this amazing art.

More importantly I’ve continued to not only achieve my dreams but learn that I can dream bigger than I ever thought possible!”

Sifu Chris Didyk

Sifu Chris Didyk’s journey to St. Petersburg, Florida is an interesting one. He grew up in Stafford, Virginia, where, as a teenager, he and his brother learned Taekwondo from Olympic Gold Medalist Master Arlene Limas. He earned a first degree black belt, but after graduating high school, he accepted an academic scholarship to Tulane University and moved to New Orleans. At Tulane, Sifu Chris focused on his double majors in Computer Science and Music Performance, as well as playing jazz piano around town. Once again, he was blessed with wonderful teachers: Faina Lushtak for classical piano and Ellis Marsalis and Peter Martin for jazz piano.

After graduating from Tulane with honors, Sifu Chris stayed in New Orleans, where he started his career as a software developer and began his search to learn traditional Shaolin Kung Fu. After months of researching everything he could find about kung fu and the many schools that offer its hundreds of flavors, he came across the web site of Grandmaster Wong Kiew Kit and the Shaolin Wahnam Institute. Sifu Chris quickly realized that Grandmaster Wong was a true master, and that in Shaolin Wahnam, he was being presented with the opportunity to learn Shaolin Kung Fu from a very special teacher. Sifu Chris soon began driving to Gainesville, Florida periodically for lessons from the Shaolin Wahnam Chief Instructor for North America, Sifu Anthony Korahais. After Hurricane Katrina sent him on a detour to Austin, TX for a couple of years (during which he continued traveling to Gainesville periodically), Sifu Chris finally got smart and decided to move to Florida. He feels honored to have lived in Gainesville during the opening of his sifu’s Flowing Zen Studio.
